Is there anything I can use to keep the ink from running before I apply a the nail polish? The nail polish you use has acetone in it as all nail polishes do. (its a thinner). So by putting the nail polish on the marker areas, your essentially removing the marker, hence its running. Ok now that we know why it runs, we can talk about how to combat it, which what you would like to know. I would and do use a clear u.v. epoxy. (knot sense, bug bond, clear goo....) as a base coat. It will not run the markers. Plus the uv cures in seconds. Then your free to put the nail polish on. Of coarse wait until the markers have dried before you ad the u.v.
