Kid Tier 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 On another site I posted about the use of .22 shells as hair stackers. Another tier replyed that I could put a bunch into a board and have all the materials stacked and ready to go.I finnally got to trying it and it really speeds up the process when You need 2 dozen clumps of hair stacked and ready to go onto a compara pattern. JeremyH 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 Good idea. . .do you buy new brass or do you clean it your self?
Kid Tier 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2005 I use old shells that have been sitting around for a long time. They are CB's so they didn't contain a lot of powder. Buying them would be a good idea.
boba 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 I picked up my empty shells at a firing range. Nice selection of sizes- .22, .38, .44. To clean them, I soaked them overnight in water and dishsoap, then swabbed them out with a Q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol which eliminated the last of the powder residue and odor.
