  1. It seems that the naturals are making a come back, but Ice Dub is still in the lead! I noticed people spoke of Dave Wittlock SLF and Davy Wotton SLF. So I guess the SLF label is not restricted to one manufacture. Or is it just restricted to Daves
  2. huh! interesting I did not see the old stand-byes like Hairtron and squirel and goat. Have the synthics won out ! I have seen slf advertised a couple of times by different makers. Is SLF a trade mark by a certain manufacture or is it become a general style of dubbing. Will the real SlF please stand up! IT seems everyone like the ice dub and flytyiersdungen as well
  3. It seems you may be able to cobble up some legs like these by buying some silicon skirt material (like the stuff sold on ebay under Silicon Skirt Making for bass jigs) in clear or smoke and going at it with a waterproof pen. They sell the stuff in perferated sheets that can be devided into strands. I like this stuff, Its more translucent and softer then round rubber legs so it has more life like action. It does break easier. though
  4. For some one just getting started Which types of dubbing (ie rabbit, rabbit antron blend, goat ) would you buy first to start your tying kit for a variety of flys. Which are the must have styles of dubbing Do you have any favorite brands?
  5. has any one used eagle claw lazer sharp fly hooks are they any good do they dull or rust quickly
