Guest Report post Posted November 6, 2003 One of the earliest know sand eel flys, according to Lefty Kreh ,is Al's Sand Eel, originated by Al Brewster. The fly must be tied sparse....and this concept carried over to future Striper flys and tyers who advocate sparsness with striper Flies. The freshwater streamer appearance is also evident here.
