Joe Hard 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 You could do bowth but as you can see the head of the fly is small as compared to some muddler heads. If you like you could also heat the head of the fly with a lighter. I use a full sinking line and find the way the head is, it moves some water and stays in the top foot of the water collum. With this fly I try to drop it in good lies and give it a few quick strips. With larger streamers I use I cast accross and downstream and retreive the fly all the way back to me.
