Hey guys, I was looking to upgrade my reel to a better one that will last me a long time. You guys got any suggestions? It would be used for light to heavy trout, and some light saltwater (bonefish, permit). I was looking at some Scierra reels (CTC and TX2), and they seem nice.

I think the hesitation is in the camera. A camera can only shoot so much or so fast until it has to write all the pictures into the card.
You can see the difference in many digital SLRs. Some shoot 3 fps and upto 25 continuous, while others shoot 5 fps and upto 35 continuous.

Kodiak, I use Photoshop CS3, but the same effects can be done on CS2...although CS3 makes it MUCH easier.

That's one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! And I've travelled a lot!
Hopefully, in the future I'll be able to fish places as beautiful and mystical as that. My first big flyfishing trip will be after I graduate High School with a friend, so let's see where fate takes me.
Great job on the video! Absolutely amazing!

Banana leaves? That's how we cook our food in India. Salmon filets marinated with lemon juice and chili powder, then baked in the oven. Simple, but delicious.
But I add a whole LOT of chili powder! Nothing is too spicy for me!

Hey guys,
As some of you know, I have been interested in upgrading to a DSLR for some time, and I might be getting one in a few months. I already have some Nikon glass (so I'll be getting a Nikon camera) and I would like to know your opinions about them.
Are these good lenses? I have an AF Nikkor 28-85mm (1:3.5-4.5) and a AF Nikkor 75-300mm (1:4.5-5.6). Will they perform good with a Nikon D40? (they first came with my dad's classic Nikon N8008, so they're old...but they work great on the N8008)

I'm heading up to our annual Ludington trip in a couple weeks, so i hope to snap some nice Lake Michigan sunsets from the breakers.

I started fly fishing about 6 years ago...I taught myself.

I believe that's either Venus or Mars...not for sure though.
It's been a while since I taken out my telescope, so I'm not that up-to-date right now on the location of the planets...
The best bet is Venus for now...I think Mars rises a little later this time of year.

Nice shot Mokai

fish, like other animals that swallow food whole, eat their prey head first...because the head is the most vunerable part of the prey, and also because the spikes/fins slide down easily.

LOL. Great Job Graham!

Beautiful as always...I need to get a DSLR!

Oh no! That's not autumn colors, that's the light from the sunset!

Some PS magic...

Personally, I like CS3 better...but for the difference in money, I would go with CS2. If you can afford CS3, get it!

I have all my pictures on a external HD. I sort them according to either the trip I took them on or the date I upload them.
