Thanks guys. Any criticisms will be welcome too!

I've never used Alvey reels

I have a 6" Newtonian reflector, a meade LXD 55 (older model). It's a great telescope, very high quality. Cost me $900 new. Let me know if you're interested in it Matt. Name a price...
Meade IMO is the best brand out there.

Hey all!
Since I'm graduating high school this year, I thought it would be cool to go on a road trip this summer. So me and Leslie, my girlfriend, talked it over, and we settled on BC. I know we have a couple BC members on here...if anyone could help point us in the right way, that'd be great. I'd love to explore the mountains in search of cutts and bull trout. I was also thinking of some king salmon action on the rivers, maybe the Skeena system?
Thanks

Thanks for the tutorial

I've only caught catfish on cut bait. My PB channel is 38.5"

Very nice Jay, what is the EXIF data on the 1st pic?

Nice job bro! Old barns are beautiful!

in CS3, how do you convert RAW to jpeg? Do you just save as a JPG file after tweaking?
-
What do you guys use? I have Photoshop CS3. Should I also purchase Lightroom and Nikon Capture NX?
-
Very nice JM! What lens did you use for the reverse macro?

Just picked up the Nikon D90, along witha 18-55mm VR and the 70-200mm VR Nikkor lenses (plus, I have some of my dad's old AF-S Nikkors from the 80's...4.6f 55-200mm, 1.8f 12-22mm, etc)
Heading down to our annual trip to FL tomorrow, so the D90 better be prepared for a nice workout!
-
Hilarious!

Nice fish bro. Nothing wrong with keeping fish as long as it's legal!
-
Thanks! I think I'm leaning towards the D90. I have a bunch of older Nikkor lenses from the early 90s, including a pretty neat 15mm f/1.8 lens. I'll probably get the kit 55-105 lens and order the 20-200 IS lens
-
dpreview put the two side-by-side and said they about match-up. I guess the question I want to know is, are there Nikon lenses just as sharp and fast as the L-series glass for Canon?
-
So I'm looking into the D90 from Nikon. It seems to be on par with the higher end models, such as the D3, D300 and D700. It does take a step back in histograms from what I have heard. Rockwell gave it a superb review too (except for the video part... but seriously, who buys a DSLR to make videos?).
The one beef I have is with lenses. How do you Nikon guys feel about Nikon lenses. I have heard absolutely amazing things about the L-series of Canon glass? Should I dive into a D90 (who Rockwell praises as equal, or even better to the D300/D3/D700) or go with a EOS 50D from Canon?
