The Hook and Hackle branded hooks are nice. Small barb for easy pinch and very sharp. I mostly tie old Mustads, but the H&H are more like the Signatures or Orvis (Which are made by someone else as well). My only complaint about the house brand hooks that I have seen from several places is they don't go much smaller than 20/22. But I heard that hook and fly sales drop off sharply around size 20.

Yup. I don't go to the meetings, but I try to volunteer for weekend events when I can. The Rapidan Chapter needs help on kids day at Grave's Mountain Lodge if you can make it.

The notice just went out to the Northern Virginia Chapter of Trout Unlimited and I immediately replied and signed up.

Wray, I am going to try and make it. It would be nice if they gave us a list of patterns they are looking for and get people to commit to bringing materials and tying specific patterns. Otherwise we wind up with a few hundred eggs and San Juan Worms. I am sure more details will come out as it gets closer. Scott Bearden
