Hey Andrew,Welcome to the forum. Check out this site. It's a cross between a canoe and kayak. Very stable.

Hi and welcome to the forum!!!
With the restrictions you have I will go with a short SOT (sit-on-top) kayak with a length of 9' or 11' just like the Caper from Ocean Kayak. The problem is the price, new is about 750 . But I think that you can find a used one in ebay or similar places for less money.

!!!Well Done!!! , gonna try it in a local pond, thanks for the step by step instructions.

With the materials available, these are the flies that are similar. Never put in the lime rinds since the red bracelets haven't been found. Taking them to the fly fishers meeting tonight to see what comments they make to make it better to fish with. What a nice job did you do, love them, that crab with the loop connector is very creative and the Michelob...

tequila trout, where did you get the red plastic bracelet material ? Have all the materials on the tying desk except that. Looks like a flexible drinking straw that was cut in pieces. Thought about shrink wrap tubing, metallic braid & a few other materials to substitute, but nothing similar other than plastic tubing. The last of the limes are falling off the tree & with the last 2 days of sunshine they should be that yuk green color in a day or 2.I get it in a local craft store, the bracelet material doesn´t even have a name. In fact they don´t have it anymore, hope that for x-mas they have it again and I`m going to buy a lot, maybe sometime in the future I can give you some.

Great Fly!!!!
Don't want to bother you but...
Can you put more photos of the fly? Maybe in the vise we can see another perspective of the fly.
Many thanks

Because the talk fly tying forum has been unavailable, a few Coronas have been deposited in the recycle bin and for some reason just forgot to save the bottle caps ! A little piece of lime rind ought to get covered up by the EZ sparkle, but still add some liver color to the underbody for the ones that get tied for the next flyfishers club meeting ! Thanks for the pattern & the suggestion on snagging waitresses :yahoo:That´s the spirit, I can´t wait to see your "lime" version covered up by the EZ sparkle.
I upload a small video (poor quality from a digital cam) so you can see how the legs and hands moves.

That fly will catch some flyfishers ! Should work great as a spoon fly for the redfish schooling up in the harbor too ! If I'd known beforehand could have picked some limes off the tree in the backyard to contribute to it's authenticity :yahoo::headbang: I'm going for redfish at the gulf of Mexico in about 3 weeks
Does it work for snagging waitresses? Yes...
Thanks for your comments

jaff....thanks this helps alot......I hope to have some pics of mine soon...I broke down and bought a foam cutter to cut the size I need.....mine will be more for freshwater at this point....thanks again for the tips and photos
That would be great...
I have the shapes in psd and jpg to fit 1/0 and 2/0 hooks, if you want I can sent you an email with the files, also you can resize to fit your freshwater needs, I cut with regular scissors, with the shapes is easy to get a good template.
I've gotta start working with a glue gun. My Steelers could'a used a good Creasefly this week...
Good luck @ Monday Night, Steelers needs a better offensive line.

nice work Jaff!!! I like it! (would be better if it was a Buffalo Bills pattern )
If you get a chance, I wouldn't mind seeing a head on shot and the underside of these crease style flies. I love how you tie them so they are tall (better popper action and less crowding the gap).......any issues with the body twisting around the shank?
Thanks VERN-O
I'm gonna work in that Bills crease, have all the season to tie, some kind of FLY BY REQUEST
Not problem at all with the body, I secure the body with Loctite and hot glue gun, also the shape prevents that the tail twist around the hook.
I use 3 kind of shapes, one is tall and fat like the Cowboys one, and the others are narrow and thin.
Here are your photos...
