  1. I'll PM the address to everyone....
  2. It's almost a muddler/spey fly....I'm going to tie some. Great work.
  3. There is still room for 2 more people...
  4. Flies were sent the other day. I put in a Swap Meister gift fly but I need a favour. I live no where near saltwater, can you tell me how the Gift fly works out (how it fishes)...if you get the chance. It's something new I was trying here for Steelhead but thought it would make a good saltwater fly also. Thanks for the fun swap.
  5. Flies sent the other day...and all my deer hair is securely sealed up in a container...only to opened in emergencies. My hat is off to those of you that like working with this stuff.
  6. If I neede a size 32, or anything smaller than a 24...I just buy them. My bench and vise can`t take my abuse when tying that small. Great work and my hat is off to anyone who can tie that small...and like it. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:
  7. There's no problems with international participants. For return postage, just use International Reply Coupons or slip a couple bucks in with the flies.
  8. Welcome. There is no obligation to add extras...but thanks.
  9. There will be fishermen (women) from all over in the swap so tie what you like best. That's the beauty of swaps, you get flies that work all over. Up here we use alot of nymphs, dries like caddis, buggers, any steelhead flies....you just tie what ever fly you like. Welcome aboard.
  10. Yes...all donated to a serviceman. You're only responsible for 10 flies but often extras get sent. So I just wanted to let people know where they will go.
  11. I just posted a swap that I'm hosting....easy one for any level of tyer.
  12. Ok here's the rules for this one. In the spirit of supporting our troops, everyone needs to use a colour from the support ribbon below. With these colours, they will support Canadian, American, and all other allied forces. The colours to be used are: RED, BLUE, WHITE, YELLOW. You can tie any fly as long as one of these colours are used in it somewhere. You don't need to use all the colours, just one. Once my own flies are recieved, I'm sending them to a friend and avid flyfisherman who will be returning home in 3 months (any extras will also be sent to him). 10 Flies are due by March 5th so there is lots of time to get creative. NOTE: I'm in Canada so my American friends can use International Reply Coupons or just throw in a buck or two for postage and I'll look after it. First 10 with "I'm In" will participate. Here's the coloured ribbon for reference. I took myself off the list but will be tying 10 flies. This will make it so that no one gets their own fly back. SM- Mouse6196 - Polar Streamer FINISHED 1. 13. I'm just sending off flies to complete 2 swaps then I'm going to host my first. Just have to get an idea and some time first. Will be soon.
  14. The Bloody Bugger in the package just landed a 9 pound steelhead today, followed by a 7 pound Brown. Wonder what I'll be tying tonight...about 10 more.
  15. Flies will be on the way Monday or tuesday. This is a fun swap.
  16. Can you PM the address please. The flies are ready to go...and I won't be using deer hair for quite a while now. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
  17. Yes it's a jig hook. I use these hooks when drifting the fly under a float. I also tie them on a regular straight hook for fly fishing.
  18. Got the flies today in the mail. Those are some amazing flies and the buggers will be used tomorrow for some steelhead. The #22 and #24 dries are incredible. I can't wait until next year on my favorite Brown river. Great swap Seadog and thanks all for a fun trade.
  19. Yes it's 5 minute epoxy. Look for one that has both parts clear. Some have one clear and one yellow and the yellow will show. I use one made by DEVCON. Very easy to use.
  20. Just went 4 for 4 with this one on the lower Niagara river this morning. I fished it for over an hour in poor water conditions.
  21. Mine are any polar fibre streamer is perch, rainbow or brown trout colours. http://www.flytyingforum.com/pattern7685.html
  22. Well I'm about half way done with the flies and believe me I'll never tie these again. I hate working with deer hair and originally was going to use it on #16 hooks. Well I went insane and have to go up to a #14 just for sanity sakes. I'm tying muddler minnows (the ole classic) but on #14 hooks. After these are done, I may just send all my deer hair with them. LOL. I can't believe it's actually fun tying something I hate to tie. Great idea for a swap.
  23. A new addition to the fly pattern database has been submitted by mouse6196: Rainbow Smelt
  24. Glad to hear it all went well...now I'm like a kid at Christams waiting for the parcel. thanks again.
  25. Did the International Reply Coupon I sent cover the postage. This was my first time using those coupons and was wondering how they work out. Thanks for hosting.
