  9. We're not worthy We're not worthy Say it in your best Wayne's World voice Same post office is hysterical--that is way too funny
  10. Thanks for the advice......(insert sarcasm) But, before you judge or post an opinion.........think for a minute...... the fish is barely out of the water........the weight of the fish is being supported by my 3 fingers...........and the water, as half the fish is still in the water........there was no weight of the fish on my thumb..........the thumb was inserted to open the mouth and show the fly in the mouth.......... It was a hot day........I didn't want to stress the fish more than it was..........so I snapped two photo's, first one in the water and the second with the head out of the water--- my camera was at the ready..........popped out the hook and off the fish swam---there is plenty more of a story to the fish and the fishing that day.......... you sound like I was man handling an 11 inch fish.........thanks for your input........I will note it next time I am ONTHEWATER can't believe I had to DEFEND a fish photo...........but, don't blame you--you don't know me.........have no clue who I am....no clue of what I did for a living..........no clue of anything about me other than a fly and a photograph...... just got me thinking.......you certainly don't want to look at my website and see the photos of the traumatized wild brown trout my kids caught a few weeks ago.......they are holding the lines and the fish is dangling there......OH NO.....and I can assure you........those browns are about as healthy today.......and they were when they were born in the stream.....and they were using worms.......that they caught....OH NO....worms........go ahead and bash that too......... furthermore, how do you know I released the fish--maybe I took the fish up to my relatives house and grilled him up.....since a rainbow trout didn't really belong in this stream anyway.......the fish was an escapee from someone's pond..... thanks, but no thanks Unlike bass, trout (especially small trout) have fragile jaws, easily broken or dislocated. In the west (where they are native) they are cradled in a wet hand if there is a need to lift them from the water.

  17. most have said it..... hares ear pheasant tail prince nymph wooly worm -- you can tie them in almost any color imaginable to match whatever bug is in said water......different sizes too......if you carry those bugs in a few different colors.....as far as nymphs go......you should be able to fool a troutie or two the HE and PT catch plenty of trout on a yearly basis......
  18. I don't need my own fly back !!! you can keep the extra one........
  19. Got my flies today.......sweet ties everyone.......... I told the wife the whore has arrived........I got a dirty look again, then she remembered the flies........she liked tdeyette's fly and my daughter liked AF-Tier's fly I'm pretty sure everyone would catch a salmon -- Steelhead too !!! bassBugn-- what brand hook is that?
  20. that sounds funny......just cuz it didn't happen to me...........for all the time I spend tying with beads, I don't think I have ever spilled any...........now hooks on the other hand..........I drop hooks all the time..........we recently moved my office into a shed and my office turned into a bedroom for the wife and I............after removing everything from the room.........I ran the vacuum............after that, I got on the floor and looked at fuzzies that wouldn't come up.......over 20 hooks in the carpet............and about a dozen flies.........funny how I never caught my socks or anything on them !!! and I took the kids fishing the other day..........for stockies....using pink berkely worms and PB and spinners.....one of the little rugrats dumped a small pack of 100 VMC hooks into the ground / mud.............they were a size 10 and a small size 10............I recovered about 10 of them and I quit......digging in the mud wasn't much fun.....the kids caught 2 trout each..........the pink worm was the ticket
  21. I told my wife my whores are being shipped out on saturday.......... Yeah........she didn't think it was so funny at first....... :yahoo:
