  1. I hope you are still feeling that way following the Gold Medal hockey game on Sunday. We don't mean it personally. yeah yeah yeah. Maybe you will be able to put 46 or 47 shots on our boy this time and still lose. I am certainly refraining from my normal arrogance as I really wasnt expecting to win the first game, but I doubt that Marty was the problem for your loss. What those Habitans lacked was the blood thirst. You Canucks are just too dam nice. Something we Rebs can never be accused of being. Helluva game though, hopefully as exciting tomorrow. I expect to see some Maple syrup on the ice tomorrow.......... :boxing: :boxed: Being a Flyers fan you know I like it rough..... Since you guys didnt see me eat crow in my personal PM to Professori, I do hereby admit and acknowledge that the Habs played one hell of a tournament and certainly deserved the Gold. I really think I started routing for those Canadians late in the game too. The crowd actually looked like they were choking on their hearts during that overtime session. Seemed like the whole country really needed it and was invested very deeply. I can honestly say that the first words out of my mouth after "Cry Baby" Crosby (forgive me but he plays in the east with my Flyers) were "Thank God" Kudos Canucks
  2. Doesnt it get exhausting trying to fit all of today's scientific and natural wonders, into what a council of men in 325 decided was accurate, acceptable, appropriate and all inclusive. Seems to put limits on what I consider limitless.

    GOLD !!!!

Thank the hockey gods that you won. You Habitans would have all been insufferable otherwise. great game, great win. Kudos Canucks!
  4. Troutdogg. Sorry but you didnt make the swap. the 12 spots filled up fast. Nice tie and would have loved it for the swap. Problem with adding you now is that some of our speedy swappers have already mailed in their 12 and you as the 13th tyer would be left out. Flygirl, great clean ties. My fishy flies are looking a little scruffy compared to those posted. I think Im going to have to clean up some wraps on my #20s or tie bigger
  5. I'd like to get in on this swap Kevin. Sounds like a good one and a swap I havent seen before. Im going to put together what I'll call a Turtle Grass Taker. Something I tried when I first saw DHise's nymph o maniac. I thought it would be a good bonefish or permit fly but havent had the opportunity to fish the southern salt with it. It has produced some nice wild browns and smallies for me up here however.
  6. Nice Fly. Looks sorta like a gartside wet mouse. Got one with the recent gartside swap that I cant wait to use. And here is one for our minister. He who farts in church......... Sits in his own Pew......
  7. Thanks for posting the patterns and the information as well. The fishing technique is something I always appreciate. Got me thinking that a smaller sample would work great for the shad runs this spring. I will ty some up and try them in April and May. Thanks again.
  8. Look at the flies in the database posted by DryFlypurist. He ties almost exclusively with cdc. Be forewarned however as I consider CDC to be the bane of my fly tying. I think is very tough to work with, but produces some amazing patterns once you figure it out.
  9. Oh Cheri, Now..... that is certainly very creative. I can almost see the bug squiggling out of its husk. Id say tighten up the proportions a bit and clean up some wraps and you got yourself one sweet emerger. The gauntlet certainly has been thrown for the newbie lagniappe as well. Looking good Lady :headbang: :headbang:

  11. I could certainly get you a sample from Valley Creek, Pickering Creek and/or Ridley Creek here in Southeastern PA easily enough. I would like to send you it from Valley Creek; as it is the gem of the three and only that supports trout naturally. I can handle the shipping charges as well. Send protocols and PM address. Bob
  12. Getting close. Did my flys land at your door yet?

    Some Flies

My assistant screamed EEEEWWWW when I showedd her which made me laugh even harder. great stuff. But I would recommend opening a window where you work. Looks like you are having an Amityville hatch!
  14. You know we are going to get Steve- slapped if we keep this up, BUT...... Keep voting the way you do and soon we will have nothing left to fish or hunt. I started writing all of these other arguments, but I really didnt want to write a tome or make you cry from the guilt. Lov ya big guy
  15. Mother Nature can't stop me but stupdity nearly did. I spent about a half an hour reforming and taping the box with all of your and my goodies sealed inside. I than looked at the mailing list sitting nicely there on the table beside the box. :wallbash: Feel free to laugh and ridicule. The box hit the mail this morning for a looooong journey. the next swapper will get two deliveries now. The box and a separate letter with the address list and a note from Big Daddy. Be on the lookout. Im pretty sure my contributions should excite a few of you. I also included something for everyone to share/view as they see fit.
  16. Welcome woodchuck. What part of VA? I intend on learning some streams throughout the Shenendoah this year. Maybe I can pick your brain?
  17. You say that like it is bad thing. Wrong to be Right
  18. Wow Everyone really was eager for a swap. Welcome to all BWO swappers above this post. You certainly filled it up quick. Looks like we have a well varied selection of tyers, several new members, several newbie tyers with less than a year tying, some old hats (wait carl is not here) who Ive swapped with before and even someone from across the pond, and several from our beautiful northern neighbor. Thanks to all for your interest and joining. Glad to see so many new members. dont forgot the toe tags, return postage and the deadline date!!!! Tight Lines Bob

  21. Rich Im in work now, but I think I recalled your name being on the list last night.
  22. I know people always say this even when it is not true. But that is one dam cute baby, Oatka. I especially like his little blonde beard he seems to be sprouting already. I still think you have at least another Finn in you too. so get busy!
  23. The salty boys know their stuff, but one I would like to add is the simplest of sand eel patterns. Short shank hook with mylar wrapped body, few strands of white bucktail, few strands of yellow bucktail and one or two strands of peacock. doesnt get much simpler. I have to wrap one or two up for you. PM me an address and I'll start off your box.
