Hello tennesseeflyfish... (whew that's a long name), for smallies try wooly buggers in different colors, including, but not limited to, olive, black and brown. Also try a black nose dace. I tie my dace with marabou instead of bucktail, I like it better. Crawdads, crayfish, mud bugs what ever you call them are killer too. Good luck

I had problems for a while also but when I went to the Forgot My Password thing I just put in my e-mail address and they sent me a new password. The password is just to use temporally. Once you sign on to the site just change your password to whatever you want. The goofy words you have to type in are just for security reasons only. You should be able to recover your old account and not have to start another one.

I finally figured out that spam filter for my isp, (only took me 5 days :bugeyes:) and got my old account back.

Very nice tie Fred. You could use a dubbed body with a turkey tail feather section for the wing and rubber legs. Add a bead head or wrap the hook shank with lead wire to help it sink.

Nice looking tie. Looks like a good steelhead fly to me.

I disabled his PM capability yesterday upon the discovery of what is going on and he immediately created a new account and began PMing other people about flies.

Will, I don't know about all this but can't you ban his IP adress so he can not open another account?

thanks for the post guys, I think i'm in over my head. there were 10 new necks and i got them pretty cheap so i cant complain. I'm just starting to break into fly tying and all the information is a little confusing, one person calls a neck a cape and others advertise them as something else. I know nothing and i think it would be pretty easy to get the bad end of the stick.

Chad, yes there is a lot to digest in fly tying, at least you've come to the right spot. If you need answers to questions, just ask and someone on here will help you out. There are alot of knowlegable tiers on here that are more than happy to help out.

For me I would say, pheasant tail and then a copper john.

I cann't seem to find much on the articulated zoo cougar. That site I gave you will get you started, use your imagination and try to think what it should look like, then tie it. It might take you a few times but you'll get it!

Out of all these responses, it surprises me that only carlp5351 suggested the Fly Market on J. Stockard. Talk about supporting local tiers.

He has alot of videos on you tube. I haven't tried any of his stuff but it looks pretty neat.

Nice brown trout, and some good looking flies in the box too! Learn something new every time on the water, makes us better fisher people and enjoy what we have also. Congrats on the first trout of the season.
