  1. Used to live North of Wacousta, and I went to Grand Ledge HS. I've fished a stretch North of Grand Ledge, alongside a county park, and done very well with wooly buggers (black, white, olive) with some flash in the tail. Also crayfish patterns. Usually use a 9' 5wt, but have had lots of fun with a 3wt.

    Always nice to stop in at the Logjam in Grand Ledge after a long day on the river.

    If your down in Toledo we will allow you to come up and try the Huron west of Ann Arbor for smallies since you are a michigan man. Your right about the GRand Ledge area the fishing is good all the way down through try any of the wadeable sections you never know

  2. To all

    My daughter is south of Bagdad and my former boss is in Kuwait. I am currently working wih the Army Recruiting command as a civilian on a medical recruiting team ( as a underpaid government employee, in the office putting together commissioning applications) and retired from the army just over a year ago. I have alot of my extended family all over the world in various functions making our country proud.

  3. Hey all;

    I am in I have an extra basic vise to throw in from Michigan. I have the information on how to mail stuff over there. My daughter is there and I am retired Army. The post office have some good sized boxes that can be shipped over there for less than eight dollars a box shipping cost. The boxes are free.

  6. Thanks all,

    I have the advantage of living on the eastside (Roseville) and fishing on the westside, the eastside or whereever my truck points me. I spent alot of years in the state traveling when I was going from one college to another acting like I was working,but instead I was searching and fishing. I was considered in my office as a human GPS. I could tell anybody where to go, how to get there, and where the best bar burger or pizza was in the state, but I wouldn't share my fishing spots unless I was with them. Well its time to go to work or at least sit at my desk and act like I care, its friday. Tight lines.

  7. Just a quick hello from Michigan. I have been fly fishing and tying for over 20 years, with some major breaks in time do do that evil time thief a high demanding job. After retiring from the military last year I have gotten back into thins at a slow pace. I fish the westside of the state, but will go anywhere to wet a line and maybe a whistle.
