  1. I've been involved in several swaps based in Australia and in those swaps I was the international participant. For these swaps I came to an agreement with the swap host to send them tying material they cannot readily get in Australia. I sent the tying items requested along with a self addressed mailer and that worked out just great. The hosts felt it was a fair exchange for the return postage which they paid out of their pocket in exchange for the goods.


  2. I have a Roots dubbing machine that I bought unused off a chap a few months back...have not yet got around to trying it out.

     

    If its like mine it will be jerky as all hell. The hook does not run no where near true. It's a nice concept but fails miserably in practice, probably why the guy is out of business.


  3. I have a true rotary vise already but I am not happy with it. I do like it alot more than the non rotary vise I started with.

     

    Mainly I use the rotary function of a vise is to look at the fly while tying it and having the hook centered isn't a big deal for that. Thanks for that info KHoss.

    Hans Weilenman did a review of it and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find it to read. I think he had input into its design.
