In addition to the new build, I sent Steve an old Shakespeare Wonderod to be refurbished. This rod belonged to my Dad and I have a nice little Pfleuger Medalist fly reel to hang on it when I feel like going old school. I cant wait to use both.

Legacy builds are past, present, and future fun.... with a master craftsman on the job, here’s hoping you enjoy these tools for many more trips to come👍

Partially correct, FRn.  I don't carry my rods in the van all the time.  Last time I was up there in the NOT-SO-great White North, I was looking at some of the ice fishing rods.  I was thinking, "I could carry one of those in the van and fish at lunch more often."  Small fish all over Orlando would have to start watching out for me !!!

Here is a Blue Horse Power Flure...  Will sail on spin rod, spincast, or 4WF flyline...  add live or power bait or one more fly with snap on stinger... It is a good dropper below a casting float, and made for commotion...give it a test and post pictures of some catches... It is on the way towards DeltonaC6B3F8BB-0380-4C25-9B48-B30B54D5A25E.jpeg

I like your planning here....  Not So Great North does pump out the Ice Rods and there are an almost  uncountable number of choices, some cheaply made some even more cheaply made.

I have two that have served me well a  stout ( fiberglass) one for pike, Mackinaw, Big Other Trout; and one sensitive graphite  for Panfish that makes a two-pound Yellow Perch feel like a 24" Mack. For a burst or two.  Neither is more than 36 inches.  Go with Steve for your lunch time sports..... then Scare those fish...

Oops! lol.... Greg it could most likely reach 20ft if I really wanted. I was getting 8ft with prob a 6ft run up at 10mph. If I hit it full bore 40mph no tellin how high it would get. Landing would not be purdy though.

Don’t do it until you install the parachute package, after that No Hold Backs....#waitin.to.see.flyingStuff

Hope none of my customers see that gorgeous red color... If they do I'll be adding another pound of powder to a collection of half a dozen colors.  Doing them in bulk requires at least a pound of each color on hand to avoid running out...

When I’m your customer, 2021 hoping still, I will bring a few!

I'm a southerner but I like a little sugar in the corn bread sometimes unless its with a good pot of pinto's and then absolutely no sugar.  And if you ain't had southern pinto's and cornbread in your life yet you are really missing out.

New elk camp, breakfast of champions!

Recipe?  (never thought I’d ask such a question here, without a reference to #hook size#)

I've been pouring ultra minnows just because I have nothing better to do so I tried out some different powder paints since I have enough white to last a lifetime. It's Eastwood translucent red that I've always just sprinkled over a white base coat as a highlight. This time I dipped the entire jig in with no basecoat.  The pictures doesn't do it justice but the lead silver shining through the translucent red is eye popping. Not sure if fish will like it since there's a big reason I fish white jigs 98% of the time but I sure like it. I think I'll dress it with some white and fuchsia  bucktail. I'll have to ponder that.

Killer, maybe add a little, pearl, silver, and or pink flash to a few.... More stages, pictures to follow, we hope...

I want to thank the generosity of the members of this Forum and this swap.  I have been a member here since 2009 and this is only the second time I have backed out of a swap.  Many of you have sent me PMs expressing your concern for my wife's illness, Thank You.  The flies are great and going in my Steeely box right away.  I will think of you guys when I am swinging them this fall.  Tight Lines and Heavy Nets to one and all, Fishing Bob

We know you have done the same for others, we have your six, Sir👊
