  1. I did some research and what do you know brookies used to be abundant in lake simcoe, now a couple of itty nitty ones hide away in their connecting streams but hey i'm not picky
  2. not yet went to bps and saw a couple crankbaits, next thing I know I have 3 lures and a short b-day list of fishing lures
  3. Just a thought here, would golden retriever hair work? She sheds all day long. I have a cat ad well that sheds and two guinea pigs if either of these would work
  4. Oh, good luck with the tigers, again nice flies.
  5. Nice patterns thanks for the details.
  6. Whitefish are everywhere in my local lake, but the haven't got a clue how to catch them thought I might try some top water flies and some small baitfish right after ice out. Feel free to criticize my idea, I would rather be pointed in the right direction than fish for a month and realize my method is totally useless.
  7. Nice, lucky for you to have tiger musky. Good luck, might use a few for bass and pikein my lake.
  8. Thanks for the advice. Rich mc, like fisherboy said, fly tying forum, but I do fish with a spinning rod sometimes, thank you for your input.
  9. Yep, that they do, I was looking for a fly fishing goby fly.

  12. I know that in many rivers and lakes gobies have become a nuisance, but bass love them, does anyone have a goby fly, or can I be directed to a site with a goby fly
  13. Yeah, up here in Ontario your bass are small mouth, largemouth, rock bass and if your in the great lakes white perch (temperate bass) and white bass.
  14. Actually, I believe red eye bass are also a distinct species. Micropterus coosae.
  15. 1 and five are warmouth, I think, the rest are rock bass.
  16. I'll probably be targeting great lakes Chinook and coho salmon in the Niagara river and port dalhousie, maybe the nottawasaga river.
  17. Interesting pattern, good for trout I'd imagine
  18. No problem, was thinking of making a similar popper in that color, figured I'd mention those colors. Good luck with your poppers.
  19. Warmouth, their a type of sunfish right, never caught one myself, very rare in Ontario, only two locations with them. Hope they work for you, I might tie up a similar pattern for bass in my lake.
  20. Definitely will catch fish, might I suggest making a green or chartreuse with black or brown mottled pattern. Would be nice to work around the pads. Just a thought.
  21. Thank you for the info, I'll be tying that fly up before spring, it will work well for bass.
