Looks like a good bass fly. I may try it. Thanks

I was going to purchase some ep after using minnow wrap on a game changer, but if the price/quantity is still poor I might try the Congo. Does it have a wire or thread or is it more like craft fur?

Sure.
If only the fish in my area could figure out they are edible.
You have a tutorial on those?

Greetings all! This is my first upload. Working on my carp box so I started with a Trouser Worm variant. Any critiques send them my way.Trouser Worm.jpg
Looks like a good beer coaster. I like their IPA.

So, are you trimming each section?

Update, I have had some action as of late on other flies, but the chili pepper wooly is still tearing them up. I really think I could fish this fly forever!

Wow

Well, mine looks nothing like it should.

Yup mikechell, that is the one I was looking at tying.

Anyone tie the game changer? Do you use minnow wrap or chocklett's body wrap? Please advise. Thanks

Will you have a boat or kayak? And try tying some surf candies for some beach Jacks and ladyfish.
I will have my kayak. I don't know how far out I will go. I think there will some fishing for lady fish. I will look up the pattern. Thanks!

Head to the ocean for the first time and I am taking a 10wt with double weld wt forward 10 wt saltwater line. I have double bunnies, clouser minnows, and craft fur minnows. What I don't have is any idea of what type of leader/tippet combo I need. I would like to catch any and everything at least once, but prefer the ones that taste good! any help on finishing the set up would be great! thanks
edit, added link

I was out again this weekend and caught a few. I do believe it is the color they are hitting on, however we had success with other flies too. I think there was just a lot of frustration with tossing the entire fly box at them.

I fish a lot of smallmouth bass steams and hook the occasional other bass species and lots of pan fish, but this weekend really kicked my proverbial ass.
After spending the winter tying new and interesting flies, I have fished 5 patterns with very little luck while my friend, fishing the same place has cleaned up on orange woolie buggers. I am about to say the hell with it and tie nothing but bead head buggers!
I tried top water foam beetles, gurgles, craft fur minnow, bronze goddess, and a dumbell eyed woolie (the only one I caught on).
Any suggestions for not flushing all these flies?

Thank you, I was using way too much fur at a time! I will tie one like this now!
-
After the first tie in, I am tying with the length toward the eye for ton and bottom, then folding over to create height. But I have to tie back an insane amount to get the fur to lay back.
-
So, I am trying to tie a craft fur minnow that is blue on top and white on bottom. I have no idea what I am doing wrong, but I cannot get the fur to lay back. Are there any good tutorials out there?

Bluegill Low Fat Minnow....slight variant
I used reversed arctic fox body over the chenille to give it a bit more bulk. Palmered the rear marabou for more movement vs two stacks. Added a little blue stripe of pseudo hair on the head with the Bruiser Blend Jr.
I like it
WOW!

Here are the flies I have made up for my Florida trip. Amy I missing any patterns or color I should have?
