stumun 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2006 Ok so i'm tying tube flies, after tying in a bunch of squirel i put some gp tippet over the top of it and this flattens the tippet AND the squirel to the tube itself, how can i avoid this problem? It's really getting on my nervous :/ cheers, Stu
deeky 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2006 After tying in the squirell, build up a little bump of thread right ahead of the squirrel, and then tie in the pheasant directly ahead of the bump and up to it. THe bump will force the pheasant upwards and the size of your thread bump will determine how high the pheasant stands up above the tube.
