Joe Hard 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 2007 Dieppe Fly Fishing Forum The Dieppe Fly tying Club presents the fourth Fly Fishing Forum next March 31st and April 1st, 2007 at the New Brunswick Community College in Dieppe. The principal objective of this Forum is to promote the sport of Fly Fishing for the general population, especially to attract more young people and women. Nine special guest speakers will offer you specialized sessions: Saturday March 31st Tribute to Warren Duncan - Jim Gillespie(English) Importance and proper catch and release techniques - Mark Hambrook (English) Introduction to Spey casting - André Beaupre (French) Ten (10) Fly Tying tips- Scott Doncaster (English) Introduction to Fly Fishing for women- Verlie Grant (English) Introduction to Spey casting- André Beaupre (English) Sunday April 1st Fishing the Nepisiguit River - Bob Baker (English) Atlantic salmon biology in Gulf of St. Lawrence rivers - changes in age, size, abundance - Gerald Chaput (English/Bilingual) The Canadian Fly Fishing Competition- Paul Marriner (English) We'll also have more than 40 booths with flyfishing tackle, outfitters, flytying materials, flyfishing School, accessories, books, collectables, conservation and flyfishing organizations.all under one roof! Finally, we will have a dozen highly skilled and renowned fly tiers which will tie flies, will present their creations and will discuss with the public on their favourite flies. The admission fee is 5$ for adult per day and free for kids under 16. The door will open from 10-5 on Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday.
