chub 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2008 HI, I will be getting a pretty good size piece of buffalo fur in the very near future. Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? If you do, what is it like; what should I use it for? Any input from a source with experience would be greatly appreciated.
C.C Waters 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2008 Bought a piece many years ago... Course, relatively short tight curls, kind of a dark brown. Though you may find a use for it, mine has proven to be one of those had to have it, never use it kind of purchases for me. I think that describes about half of my material collection though
Grunt 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2008 If you get a piece from the spine or shoulder the hair will be about three or four inches long. It tys in pretty good and in appearance it is somewhat like mohair. Dub with the short stuff and the long can be used for wings, wrapped nymph bodys etc. It's buggy.
