Guest Report post Posted January 25, 2005 Any suggestions for favorite homemade dubbing blends, particularly for Pennsylvania area streams? Thanks in advance. John

appalachian angler (tn.) 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2005 I like hareline dubbing and will hand mix colors to try and match the naturals. Sometimes I wil mix in a small amount of white antron to give a little sheen to the dub. I typically don't dub much with pure synthetics except on occasion on drys. I like my nymphs to look buggy . There are far too many combinations to list. One of my favorite blends is for rusty spinners (dry, spent wing) that used to work well in the later spring evenings on Pa. streams: Cinnomin red, yellow, tan, and olive hareline or similar rabbit hair dubbing. I leave the gaurd hairs in on that pattern because I don't hackle it. Have fun experimenting! A.A.
