hi, actually just read about this site in Fly Tyer Magazine and it seems interesting. For a little over 10 years I was able to work in retail market, selling fly fishing gear, which ended about 6 years ago when I took a real job.
I grew up in the southern foothills of the Catskill Mountain Range in New York, but my job has brought me to the Cincinnati,Ohio area, where I have settled on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River. I really miss trout fishing, and since I now have to travel to find any real trout areas, I figured this would a great way to keep the spirit in my veins, since fly tying is a real passion of mine.
I won several major fly tying contests when I was a teenager, and haven't done any since, but I am toying around with the idea since it is the perfect excuse start tying seriously again. My specialty is full dress salmon flies, but I love tying anything that requires a hook and thread. Feel free to contact me as I need to talk fly fishing as much as possible, since about five years ago I got bit by the tournament bass fishing bug.
