Went for white with the under belly in mind , once in water it looks a little better .I find its a good attractor in water wheres theres no perch present. Might be worth trying with a green tail though..cheers.

Thanks , ive some thinking to do here and some internet searching .I agree with Blueman89 i take days to get over losing a fish nevermind down to crappy tackle choices and basic errors. . My concern with wire is loss of movement ,I incoperate a heavy or bouyant head into my flies for extra movement and dont want that affected.

I refuse to use a wire trace . Instead last year i opted for 6 inches of 30lb mono. So far no pike has yet chewed their way through but i havnt hooked into the monster im looking for yet . Maybes im pushing my luck ..Any thoughts?
