Probably the best video I have seen on woven bodies is Oliver Edwards' Essential Patterns Vol. 2 "Woven Flies." Oliver is a master at making difficult tying simple. Oliver Edwards Essential Skills Justin

Yep, they like da club This last summer I caught a nice 18" Cutthroat on a trib of the Crowsnest River, AB. It was in a bend in the stream, I deaddrifted it around the corner, and just as it was coming to some deadfall, up came the trout and fish on. This fly gives a great sillouette. Justin

I love this pattern. You can also change it up a bit. I made this case with a brush of mixed hairs: white, natural and black deer hair. Justin

Yes, I used it on the Crowsnest River in Alberta. It was a stretch right below some major rapids. Nice and deep, but not to wide across. Heavily forested and steep on the far side. (I wish I had a camera at the time) I was getting bites on it on the far side of the river (inaccessible of course) But it was pretty darn hard to get any kind of a dead drift because there were extremely fast currents through the middle of the river. So I was chucking to get a "splat" and then I had about a 15 second dead drift. It was fun though.

Your not going to find a much easier tie either. Especially with the preformed foam bug body. I found them once and haven't seen them again in my local fly shops.
