  1. Another good idea when you are using multi-compartment organizers is to put a small magnet in each compartment. Then in the event of an accidental spill, most of the hooks stay together. Because even if only one compartment is open, you can still spill it accidentally, and 50 or 100 size 20 hooks scattered around the floor is no fun at all.

You can get little packages of magnets at any craft store. They are usually pretty cheap. Maybe a 1.50 for 8 or 10.

  2. Well,

Oliver Edwards suggests that you fish them the Czech nymph style.

Basically, you can fish it anyway you fish a nymph.

As for the deer hair. Its no problem at all. There is 3 layers of adhesive lead tape underneath the case. It ain't gonna be floating, that's for sure.

Basically you want it to bounce and tumble along the bottom, as if it were a real cased caddis that got swept away by the current.

  3. Good old winter.

We've been pretty lucky up here in northern Alberta. Still haven't had any snow yet. Its 3 degrees Celcius out still.

    Oh, well. Snow is inevitable.

More reason to go down to the fly tying desk I guess.

    Have fun with the shovel.

Ya, I don't exactly speed right along. I prefer I nice looking fly when I'm done, AND half the reason I'm doing it is cause I enjoy it and its relaxing.

  5. That's an awesome looking little March Brown pattern! I'll have to tie that up. Do you only use foam or do you sub WingBrite at all?

That's actually the first parachute that I have ever tied with the foam post.

The posts Rainy's Foam Posts i think. Anyways, the package came with an assortment of different sizes.

It seems to me, that the foam post might be a little easier to see than calf tail or turkey flats.

    And thankyou Mark
