  1. Voodoo I don't see your reply as a flame. The swap was only to show that I had first posted the fly in 2008. I was just a little weirded out by the article as it came out at the same time as I have been posting my pattern and creating some discussion about it. I am also getting ready to submit the fly to a couple of companies so the timing was just really weird.
  2. Well after this reply I have been provided some info that clears some things up. It seems that Jackie and I both came up with our dirty rat patterns at about the same time and he actually originally posted his in 2006. I apologies to him as he did not copy my pattern we both just came up with very similar patterns at about the same time and with the same name. Who would have thought it?
  3. I originally invented this fly and have recently been copied by Jackie. This fly was originally posted in a fly swap for coloradofisherman.com in 2008. Although I have been tying it since 2006. Here is a link. http://www.coloradofisherman.com/forum/ind...p?topic=35728.0 It is the last fly on the first page and is clearly named the dirty rat in some discussion on page 2. It would have been nice if Jackie had actually given credit to me as the original inventor of this fly. I am currently in the process of trying to get this fly on the market and have been doing some research and seem to have been copied even before it really got off the ground. Here is another link where I am trying to find out how to protect this pattern. http://www.coloradofisherman.com/forum/ind...p?topic=48991.0 I realize this is probably not a standard first post, but I am just trying to run some damage control.
