Hey y'all,
My name is Josh and I am absolutely obsessed with fly fishing! I fished very rarely most of my life and mostly for just sunfish and blue gills with the old "worm and bobber" method. The summer after I turned 18 I lived in my parents mountain house by myself for 2 months in Boone, NC. I lived right on the south fork of the New River so I decided to teach myself to flyfish. I immediately became obsessed and its all I have thought about for the past 3 years. I dont get to fish that often because I am in school in Boston now, so I decided to teach myself to tie my own flies to pass the time until I could go fishing again in the summer. My girlfriend has a place in southern Maine and we decided that we are gonna go out there a ton starting july. I was hoping that if any of y'all have any advice whether it is what flies i should use (for trout), how to tie them, other places to fish near Boston, or anything else related to flyfishing I would greatly appreciate it. I am trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks y'all!

ps. I have only managed to tie a wooly bugger so far and I have a very hard time finishing the flies so they keep falling apart.
