What a great photo. I only wish I could make pictures that looked like this one.
  2. Thanks for the info. My main focus was in nymphs but for a dry I like your sellection. Sorry guys but I love to nymph fish, since my greatest success has been working with nymphs.
  3. I found myself on Oil creek in PA yesterday with not hatches taking place. What fly do you go to under these conditions?
  4. What kind of success have you had with this fly? The fly looks like it should really work well.
  5. I really like the scud pattern. Thanks Roger
  6. If you get a chance pick up Trout Hunter by Rene Harrop. He explains CDC a lot better than I ever could. The fact that the sent is from a duck and not strange to the trout is one major advantage of using CDC. I have tied with it and like using it.
  7. Thanks for the advice. I do tye triditional patters and I have a Renzetti rotary. However, I do not use its full capability as much as I should. I am able to tye fast and durable flies, that do hold up.
  8. I understand what you are saying but I really love to design and tye flies, when I can't be out chasing trout or steelhead or even when I can. I have nothing to loss but time.
  9. I am new to the form. I am considering going professional and looking for some advice in that direction. I have been tying for over 6 years and have developed a few outstanding flies..... One fly has resulted in landing over 351 steelhead here in Ohio and PA. I have had the good fourtune to sell a few flies but I still don't know what I can do to get my name out there and who I should contact.
