Well Bob believe me, the dog will make it, do not wory. I have seen such things and my dog was shot once too (I was a hunter and another one changed my dog with a fox ). Our furry friends are much tougher then they look.

Does anyone of you know apr. the size of the hook for this pattern? I think that tied on hooks nr. 12, 14 and 16 would do the job. At least for brownies and grayling...

Thank you very much!!!
There is just one problem - I do not know how it looks Chadwick 477 wool in real.
-
Do you all fish the softhackle flies weighted?
I fish them unweighted, I fish with them down and across.
My favourite colour of the body is yellow, then orange and bright green.
-
I was looking some Oliver Edwards videos and I remebered on this fly (killer bug).
Does any of you guys tie this? What do you use for body material? Is there any substitutes for Chadwick 447 wool?
Thank you!
Regards,
Gregor

Cicero this pattern will catch fish in Savinja too, because generaly it looks like some other insects, but othervise damsel does not live in Savinja!
-
Cicero this will make a winner pattern on our pond in Ljubno.

Both are fussy. Browns and Rainbows in the whole river!
-
Actually it is black and violet marabou that I have used here... For both - tail and body fibers...
I do not know why, but I have noticed that colour choice makes a big difference on our rivers. You tie a little too bright or a little too dark oliver bugger for example on and you will not catch anything.

Nothing for me.
I guess I was a bad boy and have spend too much time flyfishing.

I hate flies that sparkle a lot. In the waters that are heavily fished, the fish does not like sparkle patterns. All bead head nymphs and simmilar things are totaly non effective... Believe it or not...
Usualy I fish wooly buggers with no bead head and no krystal flash. Tied with dirty brown marabou.
-
Yes, there is 4 strands of krystal flash in the tail.
-
Perhaps you have not noticed - there is some strands of pearl flashabou in the tail.

Smallie please resize this picture or the forum will lost all members.
Imagine someone that opens a page and sees this awful big face of me.
1/2 of this size would be enough I think...
THANKS!!!

As I have already said - there is some new patterns already tied up, but I have to make sure for some better photos.
Here is winter now, and I have plenty of free time for tying.

Thanks.
