Triple_B

First, what does this "Triple_B" stand for? Well when I was about 16, I was big into tying trout flies and only fishing for trout. Then one day I figure I would tie up a crazy hopper, this was before foam and rubber legs where a big thing. It was the easiest fly with a big foam body and some long black legs. Trout did not seem to like it much, but the Bass were killing it. After a buddy and I was trying to figure out what to call this ugly bug, we settled on "Ben's Bass Bug" (BBB) hence Triple_B. Wow that came out longer than I was expecting.

Okay, I am just a guy that grew up in Southern Oregon, learned the basic of tying from my father when I was about 12 or 13 and then went to town on teaching myself. I was one of those kids that started with a vise and pair of mom's sowing scissors. Talk about a happy kid when I got my first bobbin. Then when I was about 15 or 16 got my first fly rod that I traded a kid at school a fake pair of Oakley’s for (yes he knew they were fake). I still fish with that rod sometimes and it’s been around the world, good old Pfluger.

Well fast forward about 15-20 years, well 19 I guess. I am living wherever Uncle Sam sends me and I make the best out of it. I have been fly fishing every place I been sent and hope to keep it that way. Some places that I have got the chance to fish include, Germany, Iraq, NY, GA, Al, NC, MD, CA and of course Oregon. Seems pretty short when you list it out.lol
