Can you use a 2 weight line on a 5/6 weight reel? Would it affect anything important? I have the 2 weight rod but not the correct reel.

Does any one know how mallard hen flanks are used?

I also skinned it of course and am tanning the skin with the feathers for future use.

I just got a mallard this morning and kept the wing feathers with this odd green color. I see the same green feathers sold online for fly Tying so they must have some use. Does anyone know what they are they used for?

Is there a difference between the hackles on a rooster cape and a hen cape? Bass pro has hen capes cheaper than rooster capes.
