Uncle Levi

I moved to Minnesota because my wife, Jo, had a heart and kidney transplant Sept. 22, 2014 and we needed to be close to Minneapolis for weekly check-ups. She's doing fine, BTW. I play bluegrass.

Hi Gang, My name is Mike (aka Uncle Levi) and I moved to Minnesota from North Dakota just after Christmas. I live on 10 acres just north of Dassel now and besides fly fishing, I am a ham radio operator, I play banjo and mandolin, I like outdoor photography, metal detecting, blacksmithing and fur-trade-era and native American history. I fly fish with a 5 wt and a 7 wt usually from my float tube or 17 ft canoe. I tie a few flies, but I really have a lot to learn. I hope to make some friends here and learn a lot from the knowledge you all have.
