  2. Awsome guys thanks! I did participate in a fly box swap with a local bunch and had a ball so I'm looking forward to that the most I think. I'm not an expert tier but the patterns I do tie I'm very good at(duh thats why I tie them) but I am still learning much as I go in the way of fine tuning my patterns and other more elaborate patterns. Man I wish my Wal-Mart carried fly boxs that would be handythe closest thing to fly anythingn our Wal-Mart carries is six pond test line.
  3. Gills are not allways easy when you go for broke on em', sure you can always catch a few six inchers but I'm talkin' 10+ or its no bones and I'm goin' home. :flex: Well nto really but I don't think I would say gills are easy the really big ones can be a real challenge. Anywho good to meet yall' and thanks for welcoming me with such open arms this has to be one of the nicest sites I've ever found hats off to your mods and all the managers that take care of this site, you do an excelent job of making people feel at home. I hope to be a long standing member here some day...!!!!!!  cheers and tight lines yall' Steve
  4. I've just commited to the ice swap but if you would have me I'ld really enjoy it alot so I'm in as well. By the way I know how some sites are about newbies and I am for sur a newbie and I'm to new here to say but yall' seem like a darn good bunch of folks. One side note; I tie primarilly for panfish and bass so would we be species specific or just be in the catagory and all is well? :dunno: Monthly swap club sounds like a killer idea though :headbang:  cheers and tight lines yall' Steve
  5. hey guyz thanks for lettin' me in I've got some real killers for big gills and crappy thru the ice. Thanks again for lettin' me in I'm looking forward to gettin' some cool new ice bugs to copy and send north (and to try myself)!!!!!!!! :headbang:  cheers and tight lines yall' Steve
  6. Hey guys I'm generally a warm water fly fisher from nw MO. I do a good deal of fly tyin' for a bait shop in my town and get out to catch the trout as much as possible. I also do build some custom graphite fly rods for the three guys who buy my flies at the bait shop. My wife is also an avid fly fisher and active with casting for cures. I hope to get to know you all better in the near future. Oh and by the way I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE bluegill fishin' I couldn't care less if i never catch another fish as long as I live as long as I can chase my bullgills every spring. God I love those gills love em, love em, love em. So I guess I'm done babbling now if you love those gills give me a yell if you liv enear KC MO and maybe next spring wecan go chase em' at one of my secret holes where the 10 pluses live.
