Flytyer-1 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2005 Great meeting TB and Mrs. TB. Only way it might have been more complete would have been to see some of the other members of the list in attendance. Mr. Irish, the Council President, did a splendid job making the conclave a success!! Best from Nashville- Stack Scoville
Irish 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2005 I want to thank Mr Stack and TB for thier hospitality and there payment of the Malt to the Godfather. Also I want to thank any others from the baord that made it down. I did see some photos of 15 inch gills and some bass over 6 lbs on sunday. The Clave was great and I had a good time. I look forward to next year. A good way to go to the Clave is as a tier. We are always looking for tiers. Any one who would like to go next year and tie drop me a PM and i will add you to the list. I will need all contact information. The show is tentatively scheduled for June 2006. The only requirements are that you be a proficient tier and be a member of the Federation of Fly Fishers. If the group allows me then all on the board can easily qualify. I did tie one fly and that is one more than last year. It was a copy of the George Grant fly that was on the cover of Fly tier. That fly was tied by Todd Collins and i did duplicate it at the clave. The weaving of the Elk Hair Hackle was interesting with the help I was getting from my friends. Irish Dave who is very tired.
