DFoster 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2023 A sign next to a stocked pond that I pass by on the way to a blue line trout stream. Despite the sign, in the spring "sportsmen" will clean out every last Bow stocker in about a week. By the time the kids are out of school for the summer there's nothing left for them to catch. Fortunately for those of us who chase wild trout the natives that live in the nearby stream will go mostly unmolested because they are small, and lot harder for a "sportsman" to approach or fool. Apparently a 7" fish will not impress ones social media buddies and "Sportsmen" know that the real test of an angler is catching a 20" tank raised fish with little fear of people. 😁 Sorry about the sarcasm -It's really a shame that grown men can't at least moderate how many they keep. Half of these guys view the daily limits more as state suggestions than a regulation. This is a small pond with a wide open shore line all the way around it so it's easy to cast on. The perfect place to bring a kid fishing on a nice summer afternoon. If only there were some trout left for them to catch.
