Blues Brother 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 I'm hoping to get a turkey this season and when I do, I would love to use some feathers from it for fly tying. I would particularly like to use some biots. Where on the turkey are they? Also, what are some other good tying uses for turkey feathers? Thanks. ~Bryce
HFT 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 Biots come from the leading edge of a wing feather. there are a lot of uses for Turkey feathers. shell backs on nymphs, wings for hoppers, married wings.
Blues Brother 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 Thanks. Are there any feathers I can use for soft-hackles? ~Bryce
