SALMONATOR 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2004 As far as dry flies go, I'd say anything with grizzy hackle tip wings. Adams and mosquito patterns with this material, I've found will catch at least some fish an almost any situation. I know an old man up in Rosscommon who ties a crude hex pattern of tan foam, some white rubber legs, and four big grizz' hackle tips for wings. That pattern consistantly outfishes even the most realistic of patterns I've tied/tried. As far as an all around material, I've got to agree with pecock hurl. Fish just can't seem to resist that stuff. Hmmm, maybe I'll have to try and cross a coatchman w./ an adams this summer and see how they like it.
