tompa 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 Hi all My workhorse #2 is the Patakhorva. It's colors makes it ideal for brown rivers and after a spate when the water is a bit tea coloured. But I have also caught salmons with it in clear water and sunshine. It is also a very good evening and night fly. The recipe goes: Tube: XS+M FITS Hook: Black 2-12 Tag: Gold tinsel and flu red antron Tail: Fluo red Fluro fibre Body: Rear 1/2 Copper Flatbraid, front 1/2 Black Lite Brite dubbing Ribb: Gold mini flatbraid Body hackle: Hot orange badger Front hackle: Black Ringneck or other spey like Wing: Root beer and copper Gliss n glow, fiery brown hair divided into 3 well tapered bunches with Crayfish orange Angel hair inbetween. Over the wing Rusty olive angel hair and Peacock herls is you wish. Sides: JC Head: Black or Black conehead Good luck I've also posted some pointers for fly choiche and general salmon fishing in Norway for Sebastian. Hope it will help.
