Harold Ray 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2007 That is a beautiful job, but I am still uncertain of exactly how the body/whole fly was tied. Any more pictures? I would really like to be able to tie some of those!!! Ray
eceleschi 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 Very Nice work!! May I ask how long it took and what materials were used? Jeff Hi Jeff I'm sorry for delay on reply but I was gone fishing for a few days. To prepare the materials I had to work for 20 minutes and to assembly the materials it took more time because I had to find the right way and method to prepare it. once you have found the right method to use it will take about 30 minutes. -Hook : #16 -Tail : Coq de leon -Body : Teflon ribbon for hydraulic -Thorax : Teflon -wings : Pearlescent sheets -Legs : Porcupine -Thread : Black 8/0 -color : Colors acrylic and Panthone -glue : Z-Poxy Cheers Ezio

I would really like to be able to tie some of those!!! Ray Hi Ray I think that you understand the extended body tying, maybe you mean the thorax body. I tie more turn of teflon on thorax and I create more thin, then I engravet the torax by blade to insert the wings in the two small cut on each side. I insert the wings and I tie a few turn of tying thread around it, then i put a little drop of z-poxy, to color the thorax I use the acrylic colors. Hoping you understand me, I don't speak english well, if you like more informations mail me and I'll be happy to talk again with you. On my website there are more pics of this step by step.
