Intresting approach on an old favorite. Have you considered tying one up in an olive or black?

No, I have not thought of tying it in different colors, But now maybe I will. Thanks for the idea

You're welcome. The reason being is because, the fish/leeches that eat the eggs are a darter like fish, or a sculpin, which happens to love eggs. All of what you are immatating are a darker color, (so my guess) is that the efficiency of the fly would skyrocket.
