j74snook 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2009 for specs use a white with either pink, orange, red, chartreuse, or light blue on a clouser minnow. And for the pompano you can,t go wrong with any crab or sand flea imitation. I live near Panama city beach which is near pepsicola. Trout are in good right now but pomps are harder to find but will be in full stride by end of march or begining of april. good luck and tight lines. CoachBob 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2009 Simple effective specks fly. Size 4 to 1 hook. Silver bead chain eyes. White thread. 12 6" strands of krystal flash. Put on eyes and wrap krystal flash around eyes and tack down with thread. Couldn't be easier. Check fly after every 10 or so casts to unknot krystal flash.
