When tying the duck quill wings onto a dry royal coachman, do you tie in the hackle first or the wings? How do you tie in the wings?

tyying the wing is similar to tying a traditional wet fly wing except you tie the wing over the eye and then stand the wing vertically.

 

heres a tutorial on wet fly wing that can be adapted to the dry fly wing
