Taking photos of your flies

Recommended Posts

Howdy everyone! I am looking for some tips on taking close up photos of flies in the vise. I have tried to do so with a green back ground behind the fly but my digital camera will not focus in close enough to get a clear picture.

Now I can do it with my 35mm slr but then I would have to scan the picture and the quality would be bad.

So what is the secret? dunno.gif

Boy I never thought to just scan the fly! I will try that...

You know I need to dig out the hand book for my digital and see if there is a macro setting. It should have one but I am not sure.

Thanks

Another good site is Create professional fly pictures online

Also you can get 35mm film digitized and put on a CD with great results. If your digital doesn't have a built in Macro you can get a lens that may adapt on the front and make it a macro. They make these for digital cameras too even the cheap ones now days.
