Fred H. 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2010 Here's my first adult stonefly, be critical want to know the truth! what do you think? Jeremy Nice tie Jeremy. I don't see too many live stoneflies down here in La. but it looks like a bug a fish would eat. Free
David Legg 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2010 Oh my word... with flies that good, you could easily be mistaken for a bait fisherman. That is amazing! Nice job! David <><
British mike 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2010 Hi Jeremy Thats a nice first attempt at an adult stonefly. The coloring of the abdomen is great as is the overall proportions of the pattern. The one thing I would say is that the legs need a little work in fine tuning the coloring and maybe a little long. Im not sure what you have tied the legs with but if you could add small claws to each using a varnished tread loop cut or by flattening the ends with fine pliers and cutting the flattened end with fine sissors to make the claw foot. As I said its a great tie and keep them coming Tight threads Mike....................
