Will this work for a scud/sow bug????

Hi,

Planning on fishing a spring creek in a week or so. I rarely tie/fish scuds, so I'm not sure I'm in the ballpark on this one.

Would appreciate knowing if you think this will work before I tie a bunch of them.

That will work, Tie some up with hares ear dubbing as well. You will catch fish

The pattern looks pretty straight forward. I think they will work just fine - you might want to consider trying a couple other different colors too.

No head, no tail, no rib, no back....... I tie mine simple as I can since I see them as disposeable flies in the first place. When I fish them I will loose tons of them to weeds and rocks and brush. I tie mine like Matt (shop owner that I tie for a lot) ties his in this video.

It is my jvice. However, the jaws are limited production by him and are damasteel. He only made 6 originally. Now, he is making a second batch for July.
