flyfishing99 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2011 Hi, Planning on fishing a spring creek in a week or so. I rarely tie/fish scuds, so I'm not sure I'm in the ballpark on this one. Would appreciate knowing if you think this will work before I tie a bunch of them. Thanks, Byron More traditional color with a bead head

DSFlyman 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2011 The pattern looks pretty straight forward. I think they will work just fine - you might want to consider trying a couple other different colors too.
flyfishing99 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2011 OK, thanks! Do you put head and tail on yours???
Steve P 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2011 No head, no tail, no rib, no back....... I tie mine simple as I can since I see them as disposeable flies in the first place. When I fish them I will loose tons of them to weeds and rocks and brush. I tie mine like Matt (shop owner that I tie for a lot) ties his in this video.
