SuperBassAckwardFly 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2011 Here's the bug. Size 14 scud.Lead wrapped. Used white dubbing, white thread, paint brush bristles and white gift ribbon cut in half.I tried using raffia but it doesn't cooperate with me yet and the white ribbon is actually real easy and cheap. First time using the paint bristles and would next time use mono for sure. All I have now for painting is fine tip sharpies. I need some help with the coloring of my flies. The sharpies tend to bleed with hard as nails and tends to screw it all up. Going to the U.P in Michigan to ice fish for gills and need some suggestions for some ice flies I can work on before I go. Any help would be appreciated.
