When I got home this evening I had 2 envelopes waiting for me and behold the first 2 patterns for the swap are here.

is that a dubbed body on that professor? I have only seen floss bodies. But it has inspired me. I think I will tie some of those using my custom red fox squirrel nymph dubbing.

Yes, i did dub the body on the professor.

 

The pattern books i have were split on either yellow floss or dubbing. I opted for dubbing.

Bergmans book calls for yellow floss, but , I too have seen the reciepe call for yellow wool or fur. I really like the fur body, it gives the pattern a fuller look.

Got my first bonifide Canadian Flies today as well as Mrjims .

Here is a nice little number tied by Daryn, called "The Queen of the Waters"

Nicely done, eh!

BTW Daryn, what do you use for head cement? It has got a lot of shine and looks extremely hard.
