rockhound 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2012 Hi all, just joined the board and from reading what I have I think this is a good place for me to learn a new hobby. Fly tying has always been a curiosity, now I'm this much closer <> to learning something. Hoping y'all will be patient with another new guy. I'm sure I will have some dumb questions later... In the mean time, thanks to the management for doing all this.
Peterjay 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 Howdy and welcome aboard. And don't worry about dumb questions. A high IQ isn't a prerequisite here, a fact that will become obvious over time. (I'm an excellent example)
mikechell 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 Hello Rockhound. As a teacher, I honestly believe the saying, "the only dumb question is the one unasked." There are silly questions and inappropriate questions ... but if the asker truly wants an answer, its never a dumb question. I ahven't been tying long, but I try to help "newbies" as I overcome certain obstacles. This site has a lot of helpful people on it, and I am sure you'll find the help and advise friendly and plentiful.
