Gary Madore 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 Just finished tying a "Fall Midge Emerger" with hair trimmed from the back of my sleeping Rottweiler's legs. The best lookin' part of the fly is the (dog hair) wings. I dunno if that means anything, mind you, because I can't tie worth a damn yet: "best lookin" is a relative thing.... Cheers! halorail 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 I've used both Cat & Dog Hair for years, the soft under coat works great. I've also use horse tail as a sort of a weed guard on dragon nymphs.
